The part-time Retail Team Lead supports the New Balance retail leadership team by helping with tasks including opening and closing the store, driving outcomes, and providing visitors with an exceptional experience. The Core Competencies of New Balance will help you to lead by example.


  • Be a model of leadership on the sales floor, communicating and mentoring all team members in a professional manner.
  • By investing in our employees’ training and development, we can be results-driven in reaching our store’s key performance indicators.
  • Utilizing our GUEST service approach, provide wonderful guest experiences.
  • Opening/closing the store
  • Observe safety and reporting guidelines, including appropriate lifting techniques.


  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • experience as a store supervisor for at least two years
  • High school diploma or an equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • strong verbal and customer service communication skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include working on weekends and holidays, to fulfill the demands of a successful retail business
  • Ability to regularly kneel or crouch, frequently move boxes of merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds (with assistance if necessary), stand for long periods of time, occasionally climb ladders, and frequently ascend and descend stairs (depending on location)
